In his extensive professional experience, he has worked at some of the most prestigious Spanish firms in taxation matters and as a tax advisor for both corporate and private clients, having been involved in advising businesses in the electric power, communications, real estate, banking and transportation industries.
The Spanish Association of Tax Advisors (AEDAF), at which he acted as a representative in Madrid and Castile-La Mancha in 2010 and 2011.
The Distinguished Professional Lawyers Association of Madrid.
Abel has more than 20 years of successful experience on tax counseling for both corporate and private clients, which has placed him at the head of the Tax Department of LIFE Abogados in Madrid.
In his professional practice he provides advice in different areas of Tax Law, and he is frequently involved in restructuring operations (M&A), estate planning, financing operations and cross-border taxation.
He also takes part in procedures before the Spain’s Tax Audit Office, as well as in filing claims and appeals relating to taxation before different administrations and courts.
He graduated in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) and completed a master’s degree in Tax Counseling at IE Business School.
Teaching, publications, lectures
He regularly takes part in lectures and conferences relating to different taxation matters.
He frequently collaborates in the writing of articles on tax matters for Spanish newspapers such as Expansión, El Economista and ABC. He also participates in debates on the radio and television.
